Appalachian Spring
By Drew Scott
throw me to the wind and scatter
me, i will say nothing and close my
eyes and i have a mouth like the end of a
rope, let me be frayed on all
ends and tight into myself like a
knot, i’m turning into veins and tying too
close, i feel clasped to you and against my
nature, i feel the flowers in your
wrists pressing petal imprints into my thighs
